As you may all know, it has already been one week since we started
school. And most of us were a little tired and felt the same
impression we all had after one month at school.
Does depression have any influence on this feeling?
In my case, I tried to be as positive as I could last week. But
other factors like stress, making sure to go to bed earlier or even
trying to organize my work as well as possible, emphasize the need
for rest. In the following weeks and for others we often try to be as
presentable and down-on-earth as possible to not make them feel bad.
We feel sorry for this attitude and behaviour when we face the
teachers; this marks us for at least one month and produces a sense
of unease in every one of us.
Therefore, when it happens to me, I try to stop for a couple
of minutes to do something that really pleases me. I mostly like
to listen to music and sometimes dance to it or have a talk with
others on a huge topic in order to shake all my negativity away. But
I’m not encouraging you to be a rebel or be disrespectful to others
because those few minutes are there to make you feel better and
have a sort of break instead of a huge breakdown.
So with that said, could you mention what you like to do during
those few minutes, in order to feel better?
And by the way you could share that same happiness with the others
without trying to be a rebel or doing dangerous things.
JUST SHAKE EVERYTHING OFF AND HAVE A
PLEASANT TIME AND YEAR. Don’t forget to hit that runway with a huge
smile.
P.S: I cannot assure you that it will work but try it at least.

I listen to music, like Disney and musicals to cheer me up and well dance to the rhythm. cucu love
ReplyDeletethanks Xav, hopefully it'll help me this year :) other things you can do to relax : lie on the grass for a few minutes, avoid crowds (or stay in a silent place), or read, and remember that EVERYTHING IS GONNA BE ALRIGHT! Marion
ReplyDeleteGreat post Xavier, and I must say I'm the same as you, I like to listen to music and dance to it, screaming the lyrics on the top of my lungs to reaaaally, as you said, shake things off. I'll make sure to hit that runway with a huge smile ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post to start this year off with. I agree with you, we should all be smiling. What i like to do is to go on a walk, with my dog, put my earphones in and play some of my favorite songs at full blast. We all need to tell ourselves that this year is gonna be great and full of wonderful memories. :)

Lovely and particularly fitting post for the beginning of the year, Xavier! I can relate to this feeling (feeling a bit anxious and stressed out perhaps) and music and laughing with my good friends can be a good way to feel better! Keep on being awesome and remember to smile!
ReplyDeleteWish you a pleasant rest of the year.

i want to talk about failing, it is the feeling that everybody has, and everybody knows you know its when your little demon in your head says you are not enough for something, someone, etc... well for me that happens a lot, I often wonder what would it be like if I was doing this or if I was there, there all if's, what if I become an artist?,what if I become a doctor? what if I went abroad?, what if my decision could become deliberate today, the ones that can lead me to my dreams, so at the end of the day I can say I have no regrets, easy to say, hard to do.
ReplyDeletebut I told myself YOU CAN FAIL, YOU CAN MAKE MISTAKES after all thats how a guy with a hangover wrote Brunch, a plea which was a book about how brunch was created and inside the book, you could find the different foods you can have, or how an owner of a restaurant made "chicken waffles" a thing; because the only thing he had for costumers arriving at 2 am was some leftover fried chicken and waffles. Or how Momofuku ando invented instant ramen by accidentaly spilling some noodles into hot tempura oil.
So do you think that failure can lead to success?
I don't want to answer this question because everybody is different and we don't all have the same definition of success.
Love Elisa.
